Privacy Principles of the Arabyati Platform for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers
Our Privacy Policy is founded on our commitment to the following core privacy principles:
- We are strongly committed to creating a safe and secure online environment for every user.
- We do not sell users’ personal information to any third party.
- We strive to provide our users with access to and control over the information they share with us, and we take the protection of user information very seriously.
- We take additional precautions for young learners, as detailed in the Children’s Privacy Policy, including restricting children’s accounts to block any features that might allow a child to post or automatically disclose personal information.
- We do not display third-party advertisements on the Arabyati Platform.
Our mission is to provide world-class education — not to sell products or educational programs.

If you choose to register for (or access) your account using an authentication service such as Google Accounts or Clever as a Single Sign-On (SSO) option (each referred to as an “Authentication Service”),
we may collect information from that third-party authentication service, in accordance with your privacy settings in your account with the respective provider. - Information Provided by Partners and Other Sources:
We may also receive information from external organizations with whom we partner to deliver educational services.
If we combine information obtained from such external sources with the personal data we collect through our Service,

However, we do not collect your precise geographic location or that of your device.

This Regional Information Policy supplements our main Privacy Policy.
In certain countries, users may have additional rights, which may include the right to request access to their information, update it, review it, delete it, anonymize it, or object to or restrict our use of their data for specific purposes.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

We may provide supplementary information in connection with the provision of our services in specific countries or for particular programs offered outside Jordan,
including through our Help Center or on regional websites.

If you choose to use our Service from Europe or other parts of the world where data collection and usage laws differ from the Personal Data Protection Law in Jordan,
you acknowledge and agree that your personal data will be transferred to, stored, and processed for the purpose of performing the Service under our contract (including, for example, our Service Agreement)
and for any other purpose for which you have provided explicit and informed consent.

If you are a registered user under the age of 18, you have the right to request the removal of content or information you have publicly posted on our Service.

The right to correct your personal data without undue delay when such data is inaccurate or incomplete. - Right to Erasure (“Right to Be Forgotten”):

such as when the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed. - Right to Restriction:

such as when you contest the accuracy of the personal data, allowing us a reasonable period of time to verify its accuracy. - Right to Object:

and the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes,
to the extent that such processing relates to direct marketing. - Right to Withdraw Consent:

(acknowledging that withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal).
You may also have the right to file a complaint with the legally designated and competent supervisory authorities.
If you require further assistance regarding your rights, please contact us, and we will review your request in accordance with the applicable law.
In some cases, our ability to support your rights may depend on our obligations to process personal data for reasons related to security, safety, fraud prevention, or compliance with regulatory or legal requirements,
or because processing is necessary to provide the services you have requested.
In such cases, we will inform you of the specific details in response to your request.

Disclosure of Information
We take the protection of the personal information you provide to us very seriously.
Accordingly, we assure you that we do not and will not sell your personal information to any third parties.

- With other users associated with your account, such as a parent or the educational institution to which you belong.
- With your educational institution, if you use our Service for educational purposes.

If you choose to use a third-party application or service, that third party’s use of your information will be governed by its own Privacy Policy. - In connection with corporate transactions, including mergers or acquisitions.
- For compliance purposes, specifically when reasonably necessary to protect the safety and security of our users or Service, or when permitted by law.
We also reserve the right to disclose anonymous or aggregated information that does not reasonably identify you.
Ways Your Information May Be Disclosed or Transferred (Detailed Explanation)
When certain information is visible to others on the Service by default, some features or functionalities of the Service may disclose your information to others or make it accessible to them.
For example, your information may be visible to others in the following situations:
- Information you post in public areas of the Service:
When you post a question or answer on the Service, your profile — which may include your name, brief biography, and the content of your posted comment — becomes visible to others on the platform.
As with most online services, once your information becomes available to others on the internet, it can be collected and used by recipients or any other visitors to the site without restriction.
Therefore, please be mindful of standard online safety guidelines and carefully consider what personal information (if any) you wish to disclose in your profile or posts.
We strongly advise not using your real name (or any other information that could be used to identify you) when creating your username or profile. - Information disclosed when your account is connected to another user’s account:
When your account is connected to an educational institution or a parent, that individual or institution will be able to view your profile information and learning activity on the Service —
such as videos you’ve engaged with, questions and answers you’ve posted, chat history, and other usage information.
This may include your real name (not just your username), as well as the information contained in your account profile and settings.
With Your Consent or at Your Direction
You may grant consent or authorization to disclose your information to third-party applications or services in several ways.
Please note that these third parties are not under our control and are not subject to this Privacy Policy.
Therefore, we strongly recommend reviewing the Privacy Policy of any third-party application or service before allowing it to access your account information with us.
- Disclosure to third-party applications you authorize:
Third-party developers and service providers may create complementary services for our platform.
We may disclose information to such third-party applications that you explicitly permit. - Disclosure to third-party Single Sign-On (SSO) tools:
If you choose to use an authentication service, these third-party providers may be able to collect or infer information about you,
including details about your use of our Service (such as your login activity), in accordance with their own privacy policies. - Disclosure related to special programs you participate in:
If you participate in special programs where we collaborate with third parties,
we may disclose information collected from or about you to those external partners to facilitate the program or the services provided.
Before you choose to join a special program, we will inform you whether information will be shared with the third parties offering that program and specify which information will be disclosed.
These partners may use your information as described in their own Privacy Policies. - Disclosure with your explicit consent:
We do not disclose your information to external organizations for their marketing or promotional use without your consent.
In some cases, you may grant us permission to disclose your information to authorized partners, non-profit organizations, or other unaffiliated entities.
In such cases, we will share only the information that you have allowed or instructed us to disclose.
We May Disclose Information to Your Educational Institution

For more information, please refer to the section titled “Use by Educational Institutions and Students.”
We May Disclose Anonymous or Aggregated Information to Others
Under certain circumstances, we may disclose non-identifiable or aggregated information that does not reasonably identify you as an individual, for various purposes.
For example, we may share de-identified information with business partners to enhance our Service or offerings, or to conduct educational research.
If we disclose information to third parties for research or product development purposes,
such information will be aggregated and/or de-identified to ensure that users cannot be reasonably identified.
We Will Disclose Information to Employees and Service Providers
In order to deliver our Service, we have the right to disclose information to our employees, trusted vendors, and third-party service providers,
such as entities that provide billing, customer support, analytics, hosting, data processing, marketing, and other similar services.
When we disclose information to external service providers or vendors,
these third parties are contractually obligated to maintain the security and confidentiality of such information.
We May Disclose Information for Legal or Business Purposes
- Business Transactions:
We may disclose information in the course of developing or restructuring our business, including through a merger or acquisition.
In the event of any merger, acquisition, change of control, or any form of sale of some or all of our assets,
your information may be transferred or disclosed in connection with that business transaction.
If the transaction involves the transfer of students’ personal data to a third party,
we will require the new owner to continue to honor the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy,
or we will provide the educational institution with notice and an opportunity to opt out of the transfer of student personal data
by requesting the deletion of such data prior to the transfer.
- Other Circumstances:
We may disclose information when we have a good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary and reasonable to:
(a) Respond to any applicable law, regulation, rule, legal process, or enforceable governmental request;
(b) Enforce the applicable Service Agreement, including investigating potential violations thereof;
(c) Investigate or defend ourselves against claims or allegations from any third party;
(d) Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues;

(f) As otherwise required or permitted by law.
Transparency and Your Choices
We take your privacy seriously.
Therefore, we strive to give you the ability to control the choices and decisions related to your personal information.
We recognize that your personal information is important to you,
and for that reason, you have options regarding how your personal information is used and disclosed.
We want you to have access to your personal data so that you can help keep it as accurate and up to date as possible.
When you register for an account, you can:
- Limit the optional information you provide:
You may choose to provide only information that does not reasonably identify you to others.
For example, we recommend selecting a username that is not linked to your real name (or cannot be used to identify you).
You may also decline to provide any optional information in your public profile. - Choose whether to disclose personal information to third-party services:
You may select which third-party applications you wish to use and can stop using any of them at any time.
This functionality is optional and entirely under the user’s control.
For example, you can revoke our access to your account on any Single Sign-On (SSO) service at any time
by disconnecting the “linked account” in your account settings
or by updating the appropriate settings in your authentication service preferences. - Choose whether to receive optional emails:
From time to time, we may send you emails about our products and services,
or about other products and services we believe may benefit you.
You can opt out of receiving these emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any message
or by updating your email preferences.
Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from certain essential communications related to your account,
such as account verification, changes or updates to service features, technical or security notices,
or other automated account-related communications. - Update, correct, or delete your account information through your account settings.
We encourage users to review their account settings regularly.

That said, we cannot guarantee or warrant the absolute security of all information you transmit to us.
For example, no Internet service or email transmission is completely secure or error-free.
In particular, emails sent to or from the Service may not be secure,
so please exercise extra caution when deciding what information to send us by email or when seeking support.

Third-Party Links
Our Service may link to, or be linked from, websites operated by other entities or individuals.
If we include a third-party link and you click on it, you will leave our Platform/Website,

Accordingly, we strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies of such third-party websites.

Educational Institution and Student Use Policy
This Educational Institution and Student Use section supplements our Privacy Policy with respect to the use of the Service by educational institutions.
Our company is dedicated to providing educational content focused on teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
We strive to implement best practices to protect the privacy of all our users — students and others alike.
We have established additional controls and procedures for educational institutions and teachers (collectively referred to as the “Educational Institutions”) when they use the Service for educational purposes.
When the Service is used as part of an Educational Institution’s academic program,
the personal information related to that institution’s student users (“Educational Institution Users”) may include information classified as “Educational Records” under the privacy laws of certain countries (such as FERPA) or other legally protected information.
We refer to such information as “Student Personal Data.”
Our Commitment
We are firmly committed to supporting student privacy.
Our collection and use of Student Personal Data are subject to:
- our agreements with the Educational Institutions,
- our Privacy Policy, and
- the applicable privacy laws.
For Educational Institution Users under the age of 13,
our privacy practices may also be subject to child online privacy protection laws.
If you have any questions regarding the review, modification, or deletion of a student user’s personal information,
please contact your Educational Institution directly.
Creation of Educational Institution Accounts
Please note that, in order for Educational Institution User Accounts to be associated with the institution and treated as Educational Institution Accounts (as defined in our Service Agreement),
such accounts must be created by or under the direction of the Educational Institution,
using an institution-issued or institution-approved email address.
For example, an Educational Institution Account is created when:
- A teacher creates usernames, logins, and passwords to set up student user accounts and a classroom within the Service.
- A student user creates an account under the direction of the institution using an institution-issued or approved email address.
- Accounts are established under a separate agreement between us and the Educational Institution, granting those accounts the status of Educational Institution Accounts.
In cases where we do not have a separate agreement with the Educational Institution,
we may require written notice indicating that the accounts will be used for institutional purposes
in order to recognize them as Educational Institution Accounts.
If you are an Educational Institution, please contact our Educational Partnerships Team
to learn more about how to ensure that student accounts are properly configured and managed as Educational Institution Accounts.
Additional Detailed Information
Below are specific ways in which we use and protect students’ personal data:
- We collect, maintain, use, and share students’ personal data solely for authorized educational purposes and as described in our Privacy Policy, including in accordance with the directions of the Educational Institution, and/or the Educational Institution User, and/or the student’s parent or legal guardian (“Parent”).
- We do not disclose students’ personal data for targeted advertising purposes.
We take active steps to disable third-party advertising networks when an Educational Institution User logs in to their account on the Service. - We do not build profiles of Educational Institution Users except to support an educational purpose or as otherwise permitted by a Parent’s authorization.
- We have implemented a Data Security Program designed to protect the types of student personal data collected and used through the Service.
- We will clearly and transparently disclose our data policies and practices to our users.
- We will never sell students’ personal data, unless such sale is part of a corporate transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
In such cases, we will require the new owner to continue honoring the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy,
or we will provide the Educational Institution with notice and an opportunity to opt out of the transfer of student personal data by deleting such data prior to transfer. - We will not make any material changes to our Privacy Policy or to our contractual agreements related to the collection or use of students’ personal data
without first providing notice to the Educational Institution and offering an opportunity to opt out before using the data in a materially different way from what was disclosed at the time of collection.
How We Disclose Students’ Personal Data
We disclose students’ personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, including in the “Disclosure of Information” section above.
In addition, depending on the features and account controls applied to Educational Institution Accounts,
we may disclose information to other users on the Service — such as teachers, language supervisors, or content administrators.
If an Educational Institution User posts content in a community forum,
their username and profile information will be visible alongside their comment.
Depending on how the Educational Institution uses our Platform/Services,
and based on the terms of the agreement between the Educational Institution and us,
we may provide the institution with access to certain students’ personal data,
as well as to usage information related to the Educational Institution Account and teacher user accounts.
This access may be granted for educational purposes,
such as monitoring student learning activities and evaluating the effectiveness of the institution’s use of the Service.
We may also provide Educational Institutions with access to student personal data, student usage information,
and teacher usage information in response to a specific request from the institution.
Targeted Advertising
We do not use, disclose, or collect personal data of students using Educational Institution Accounts on the Service for the purpose of marketing or advertising any third-party commercial products or services,
including targeted advertising.
How We Retain and Delete Students’ Personal Data
We do not knowingly retain students’ personal data beyond the period necessary to support the authorized educational purpose,
unless retention is expressly authorized by the Educational Institution, the student, or the Parent/Legal Guardian.
Our users may continue to use their accounts for non-institutional personal purposes
and may choose to link their accounts to a personal or parental account.
In such cases, the user (or the Parent) is responsible for submitting account deletion requests.
Users with personal (or parental) accounts may delete their accounts and any associated personal information at any time through the Account Settings.
In such cases, users may contact our Help Center to request assistance or guidance for completing this process.
Depending on how the Educational Institution uses our Platform/Services
and the terms of the agreement between the Educational Institution and us,
users — including Educational Institution Users (or their Parents) — may be able to delete their accounts and related personal information through the Account Settings.
Users may also contact the Help Center for support and instructions on how to proceed.
In some cases, our Educational Institution partners — under a signed agreement with us that may include additional services, such as enrollment and administrative management —
may require that student accounts be managed under institutional control.
In such cases, Educational Institution Users (or their Parents) may not be able to delete accounts directly through Account Settings,
and deletion requests must instead be submitted to the Educational Institution.
The Educational Institution is responsible for managing and deleting any students’ personal data
associated with accounts that the institution no longer requires for educational purposes.
Educational Institutions should contact our Educational Partnerships Team to request the deletion of student personal data linked to Educational Institution Accounts.
We may request additional information to verify the authenticity of any deletion request.
If an Educational Institution User has linked their institutional account to a personal account,
the student’s educational activity may be retained within the personal account after disassociation.
Inquiries About Students’ Personal Data
If you have any questions or concerns regarding specific practices related to students’ personal data that have been provided to us by an Educational Institution,
please direct your inquiries to your Educational Institution.
This section does not apply to information provided by a student or any other individual to us independently of the student’s use of the Service under the direction of an Educational Institution.
For example, if a user links their personal account to their institutional account,
or chooses to retain their learning activity on our Platform through a personal account,
the information associated with that personal account is not considered student personal data.
Children’s Privacy Policy
This policy or section supplements our Privacy Policy and provides additional information on how we collect, use, and disclose personal information of children under the age of 13 (“Child” or “Children”).
We reaffirm our commitment to protecting children’s privacy.
Protecting the privacy of children is of utmost importance to us.
For this reason, we have implemented specific features and measures designed to help protect the personal information related to children (“Child Users”).
When a child creates an account, we collect their information in accordance with applicable laws,
including by obtaining verifiable parental consent or consent from the legal guardian (“Parent”) before account creation.
When an Educational Institution uses our Platform,
we rely on the institution to provide the required consent on behalf of the Parent
for the collection of information from an Educational Institution User under the age of 13 for educational purposes.
How Children Can Use and Register for Our Service
We do not permit Child Users to create an account without the consent of a Parent or Educational Institution.
Therefore, if we learn that a Child User’s personal information has been collected through our Service without parental or institutional consent,
we will take appropriate steps to delete that information.
If you are a Parent and discover that your child under the age of 13 has registered a personal account on our Service without your consent,
please contact us immediately to request the deletion of your child’s personal information from our systems.
Children Users – Account Registration Methods
Child Users can register for an account in one of the following ways:
1. Child User Registration with Parental Consent
When a Child User registers for our Service,
we request the username, date of birth, password, and the parent’s email address
so that we can send an email to the parent of the Child User to obtain verifiable parental consent before the child can use the Service.
We do not request any more information from the Child User than is reasonably necessary
to provide the Service or to obtain parental consent.
If we do not receive parental consent within seven (7) days,
the child’s account will be closed, and the child’s personal information will be deleted from our systems.
We may also rely on the Educational Institution to obtain and provide such consent on behalf of the parent, as described below.
2. Account Creation by an Educational Institution
(Responsibility for obtaining and providing consent lies with the Educational Institution)
When our Service is used by an Educational Institution,
we allow the institution to create Child User Accounts and to provide the required consent
on behalf of the child’s parent for us to collect the Child User’s personal information for educational purposes.
Educational Institutions may create a Child User Account by adding students to the Service through Single Sign-On (SSO),
or by manually creating individual logins and passwords for each student.
When Educational Institutions create accounts in this manner,
we rely on them to obtain and provide parental consent on behalf of the parent or guardian.
3. Methods of Providing Parental Consent
Parents may provide consent for a Child User to use the Service
by positively responding to the verification email we send to the parent’s email address
that was provided by the Child User during registration.
If we do not receive parental consent (or confirmation that the account is an Educational Institution Account) within seven (7) days,
the Child User Account will be closed, and the child’s personal information will be deleted from our systems.
4. Parental Accounts
A Parent may create a “Parental Account” on the Service
and link it to the Child User Account by clicking the account creation link
provided in the Parental Consent Notification email.
Parental Accounts allow parents to control the settings and functions of the Child User Account.
Parents may revoke permissions for the Child User to use the Service at any time by deleting the account.
In certain cases, the Educational Institution may retain administrative control,
including the ability to modify or delete the account.
What Information We Collect About Child Users and How We Use It
We collect the username, date of birth, and the parent’s email address when a Child User registers for the Service,
as well as any additional personal information that a Parent adds to the Child User Account, as described above.
We also collect information about the Child User’s activity on the Service (such as completed lessons).
Additionally, we collect usage and device information as described in the Information Collection section.
We use the information collected from Child Users to:
- provide our Services,
- personalize their learning experience,
- communicate with them to improve our Services,
- develop new educational offerings, and
- ensure the safety of our users and compliance with legal obligations.
We use the parent’s email address solely to communicate with the parent regarding matters related to the account.
Disclosure of Child User Information
A Child User’s username, progress information, and any personal data added by the Parent to the child’s profile
may be disclosed to the teacher associated with the Child User’s account,
although a Parental Account may restrict the Child User from adding teachers to the account.
Parents may also enable additional information-sharing features through the Parental Account —
for example, by adding profile information and allowing the child’s profile to be shared with teachers and other users,
or by enabling the Child User to post content (such as questions and answers) on the Service.
Parents who enable content-posting features should understand that Child Users may share personally identifiable information in free-form content on the Service.
Therefore, parents should monitor their child’s posts and remove any personal information if necessary.
We may also disclose Child Users’ personal information for legitimate business purposes,
as described in the Disclosure of Information section above.
No Third-Party Tracking or Targeted Advertising
We do not display targeted advertisements on the Service.
We do not disclose Child Users’ personal information for direct marketing or targeted advertising purposes.
In addition, we take active measures to disable third-party advertising networks on web pages containing child-directed content.
Parental Access, Modification, and Deletion of Child Accounts
As a Parent, you have the ability to access and control your child’s account information
through the “Your Children” section of your Parental Account.
To refuse future collection or use of your child’s personal information,
you may delete your child’s account by following the applicable instructions.
Please note that you must delete the Child User Account before deleting the Parental Account itself.
Parents may also contact us via our Support Page to request access to or deletion of the Child User Account.
Please note that the parent will be required to provide the Child User’s username,
and we may take steps to verify your identity before granting access to the child’s account.
In certain cases, the Educational Institution may retain administrative control,
including the ability to modify or delete the account.
In such cases, the Parent should direct their request to the Educational Institution.
For more details, please refer to the Educational Institution and Student Use Policy.
